The province of Jagna, Bohol is not a popular tourist spot, but is home to some of the most beautiful views and the most welcoming people.
I've gone there for the past two summers as part of a medical mission with an organization called Philos Health. It was one of the most fulfilling experiences that helped cement my passion for wanting to go into the medical field.
Some of my most memorable experiences visiting Bohol were dancing and singing with the locals, and trying new foods and eating fresh, ripe mangos.

| Philos worked with the local mayor to set up free medical clinics for residents of several municaplities to attend. | At the local dental clinics, Philos's dentists performed oral treatments and some surgeries. | Many student volunteers, such as myself, applied fluoride treatments and did vision tests for the kids at the elementary schools in the area. |
